Pioneer P series self priming centrifugal pumps

Pioneer Pump builds high performance pumps at competitive prices. The P series self-priming pump is no exception and is, in fact, one of the foundations on which our company is built. Since its recent launch, the P series has become one of the most popular self priming pumps available today.

Available in five sizes from ON 75mm through to ON 250mm, Pioneer Pump offers more than 200 models and variations of the P series self priming pump for mounting with a diesel engine or an
electric motor.

Materials of construction include high grade GG30 Gray iron as standard, 316 Stainless Steel (DIN X5CrNiMo 17 13 3), CD4-MCu and abrasion resistant materials such as Ductile Iron. Users may choose to have the whole pump in one material, or may individually specify the materials of
construction for the volute, impeller, wear plate and seal plate.

With flows of up to 760 m3/hr (210 I/sec) and heads of up to 55m, the Pioneer range of self priming pumps offers the very widest choice of pumps for all your pumping applications, providing low
running costs, ease of maintenance and unrivalled ability to get the job done.

Ductile Iron Solids Handling Impeller

Semi-open, two vane impeller with solids handling capability up to 76mm and very high resistance to wear and shock loads. Other materials of construction include 316 Stainless Steel and CD4MCu Stainless Steel.

Replaceable wearplate and coverplate

The wearplate is the primary pump part that is affected by wear from entrained solids and abrasives. It is easily removable and being a low cost part offers very low maintenance costs to the owner. It is bolted directly to the front coverplate, which is easily removable by a single person using Pioneer's unique jacking bolt system and gives direct access to the volute to remove any blockages and service the suction flap valve in the pump casing.

Shaft

We are the only pump manufacturer who offers our complete range of P series self priming pumps with a 17-4PH (DIN Z6CNU17.04) stainless steel shaft as standard. This material provides the best possible shock, corrosion and abrasion resistance and the best all round performance for solids handling applications.

Mechanical seal

Whilst other manufacturers only offer their own unique seals, Pioneer's approach is one based on ease of ownership. Pioneer Pump uses mechanical seals which are widely available from international manufacturers. This means they are made by experts to the highest standards and are available in local markets in a range of materials including Tungsten and Silicon as well as a variety of Elastomers.

Removable rotating assembly

The removable rotating assembly is bolted to the rear of the pump and gives users direct access to all key rotating parts in minutes without having to remove the pump or pipework. The integrated external shimless adjustment of the impeller means that users can easily adjust the tolerance between the impeller and wearplate. This greatly increases the lifetime efficiency of the pump, reduces running costs and ensures optimum efficiency at all times.

Volute casing

Manufactured in the finest Grade 30 Gray Iron as standard, the P series volute has sufficient overall volume for reliable priming and repriming performance without the need for external priming equipment or check valves. The volute is also available in CD4MCu as well as 316 Stainless Steel.
